Keune Shampoo for Blondes review

Hello Gorgeous!

I know it's been awhile since my last blog post, my apologizes!

As you all may know or have seen on my Instagram @xospringdoll that I had recently just bleach my hair blonde.  I have been told by my stylist and friend that I should use this product, it's the best for blonde hair.  I have no clue how to take care of blonde hair cause I have never gone this blonde before.  I think the closest I have gone was like copper orange tone, which was so gross and i hated it!!!

Anyways she told me where I could find it at Aloha Beauty supply.  I had to google map it and it's not too hard to find.  I only wish that my friend had mentioned to me that there was a dog, cause when I walk into the store I literally screamed my head off from a barking toy dog head straight towards me... Lol!  Then came out the sale associate trying to calm the dog down and said that I was the first loud screamer that walk into the store.  Anyways I let him know that my stylist had sent be for a bottle of Keune silver reflex shampoo.  He was very helpful and he also gave my some samples of argan oil products.

I've tried the product a few times and it was great it really did keep my blonde from turning orange.  But as you may know I'm a beauty blogger, so I strayed away from this product for a bit and starting trying other blonde products.  I had found some products for cheap at TJMaxx like Rusk and Bed Head, both had a nice purple tone to it, the texture were pretty thick and it lathered well in a very light hint of lavender in color.  I also purchased the John Freida blonde hair toner was also the same in texture, color and lather.  I tested all three for a couple of weeks and it totally change the color of my blonde.  It made my blonde slightly orange.

And at that time I thought "great now I would have make another appointment to just get the orange out!". I was think how shameful I would be to see my stylist and didn't listen to her advice and stuck to Keune.

John Frieda Colour Correct
RUSK sensories Bright Shampoo

I went back to using my Keune shampoo and by my surprise just in one use of the stuff it literally lift the orange right out of my hair.  And it's like every time I use this products my blonde hair just looks so gorgeous and healthy all the time. I wish I had bought a bigger bottle of this stuff cause it's just so amazing.  This product is very liquidly, very very dark in purple and when it lathers it's a very vibrant purple foam.  This product is so pigmented it will leave a slight stain to your fingers and nails,  so be sure to wear gloves or just paint your nails.  Here is picture of what I'm talking about by how pigmented this products is.

So there are the claims of the product of what it does...  I look up the details on the product on KEUNE website.

How I clean my makeup brushes.

Hello my lovelies,

I'm so so sorry it's been awhile since my last post.  I've been really busy with my jobs, family and my crazy kids.  I haven't had the time to post anything beauty related, plus I haven't even gone shopping to test out new or old products.  Due to the fact that my family and I are going on a trip to LA & Vegas in October and I'm trying to save up some money.  I'll be sure to make beauty ideas or updates later.

As for the title of this post I had clean my dirty makeup brushes this past weekend and video it on my iphone!!! So I hope you gals enjoy.

Feature product:
Dr. Bronner's Liquid Castile soap in baby mild.

I'll have separate review on these products soon... I just want to gather all my thoughts first and I'll post it up!

Inspired 60's makeup look with a twist!

So this week... It's hospital week.  I only work part-time from Thursdays thru Saturdays.  So sadly I wasn't able to join in the other days, but today was inspired by the 60's and 70's trend.  I didn't have any outfits, I decided to go for makeup look.  And this is what I came up with....

A winged cut crease with a pop of color, in that case I pick aquamarine.

I have such a small eye lid space that I had to recreate my own.

Tomorrow which will be Friday is Halloween in May! How exciting!!!!

Frankie Rose haul

Hello my fellow bloggers!

I'm so very sorry that I haven't been posting any blogs the past few weeks.  I have out sick and sort of lazy to even write on my blog.  BUT last week I received my Frankie Rose Cosmetics in the mail.

The Frankie Rose team had given me a card with note plus additional 10% off on my next purchase.  Which was very nice of them, thanks again!

Cute wrapping.

So I got 4 items in their face line collection.  Liquid matte foundation, powder foundation, secret Concealor and face primer.

The Frankie Rose team had wrote a note for me.  Just letting me know that they had ran out of my size in the shirt, but they were able to send me two different sizes, large tank top and medium shirt.  How awesome is that! Thanks Frankie Rose team.

I'll be testing these products and will give my full review on what I think about the products sometime in the next two weeks or less.  So stay tune for that!  And also I'm in the process of creating another blog site on weebly.

Frankie Rose Cosmetics: samples

I had seen Frankie Rose Cosmetics on Instagram and on Facebook.  I had googled their site and searched more about their line.  What really got my attention would have been all the different makeup looks the beauties on Instagram had posted and while I was browsing on their site I had seen the Matte Perfection Foundation.

Before I start rambling about the samples that they had sent me and process of me getting them.

I would like to briefly talk about Frankie Rose cosmetics itself.

What is Frankie Rose Cosmetics about?
Los Angeles based Frankie Rose Cosmetics is a unique brand of high quality makeup and tools designed to create a variety of crave worthy looks for women of all ages.

Crafted by professional makeup artists, Frankie Rose Cosmetics is specifically formulated to offer flawless, long lasting products in unique color palettes from silky foundation and highly pigmented shadows, to kiss worthy lipsticks and glosses. From dramatic and glamorous to naturally sexy, Frankie Rose Cosmetics creates the perfect look every time.

So who is Frankie Rose?
Frankie Rose is who every woman wants to be. You most likely already know someone like Frankie Rose… She might even be you!

She’s fearless, beautiful, confident and sexy. She knows who she is and what she wants. On days when you feel amazing in your own skin, when you feel like you can do anything…you catch a glimpse of her in your mirror.

There’s a Frankie Rose in every woman, just waiting to be unleashed.

FYI plus ALL their cosmetics are 100% cruelty free & gluten free.

"Lets get down to the nitty gritty.."

So I had emailed them about their foundation shades?  On what shade would best suit me.  I wouldn't have thought they would email me back until acouple of days, but they emailed me back the next day... Talk about fast reponse!!!

Anyways here is a sample of my letter I received from them:

So basically I did pick out the shade in Oatmeal.  It's kind of hard to pick out a shade online cause products shade always looks different on screen.

So I actually received this package yesterday and I didn't have time to look what was inside til today...

So they had sent me a sample of their face primer and 4 different shades in their Matte Perfection foundation.

How cute are their packaging? so basically the sample came in a small zip lock bag w/ their square shaped business card and stapled with a pink note on it. Plus they also attached a 20% off promo code. How exciting!!!

Here is the first swatches of the foundation applied on my forearm in natural lighting.

And here in flash photography in a few hours after foundation had set.

And one without flash, but in natural lighting that's also been set from a few hours after foundation had set.

So the outcome of all this! Is for me! Actually I needed to see if this product oxides.  As you may not know I normally pick out a one shade lighter than my actual color.  And I was right Oatmeal would have been a perfect shade at first but as you can see it really oxide on my skin.  I think if I applied it on my face it would actually turn out darker.  So technically I am gonna go with Olive.  It maybe light, but I will work once the contouring is applied.

I will do a separate first impression and review on the primer and Foundation in Olive.
